New Provincial Website
I am delighted to announce the launch of the new website for the Province of South Wales & Monmouthshire.
The aim of our new website is not only to inform members of the Order on current events and meeting dates in the Province, but also to provide background information on our Order to those interested in joining our caring fraternity enabling our Order to grow in the Province.
With this objective in mind, please feel free to publicise our new website address www.osmsouthwales.com to all your Masonic friends and colleagues so that they may too find the inclination to join our caring and friendly Order.
Our new Provincial website is not static – and neither should it be – it must evolve to fully meet the needs of our membership and with this in mind, I would ask that you contact the Webmaster via the “Masonic Links” Page with any suggested improvements or general comments so that we can optimise the content to fully reflect the needs of this Province.
I do hope you enjoy our new Provincial Website and find it a useful tool.

Consecration of the Porthcawl-Delhi Conclave No. 528
Yesterday evening (November 27th, 2008) saw the very successful and enjoyable consecration of the Porthcawl-Delhi Conclave No. 528 at the Masonic Temple, New Road, Porthcawl, CF36 5DG. The Consecration Ceremony was conducted by R.Wy.Bro. Paul L. Botfield assisted by his Provincial Officers.
The majority of Founder Members of the Porthcawl-Delhi Conclave No. 528 are members of Porthcawl Craft Lodges who have travelled to New Delhi, India on a number of Masonic Trips. During their visit to New Delhi in October 2007, they were all inducted into our Order at the Civil Lines Conclave No. 482 and further admitted in Delhi as Princes of the Order in June 2008. All of the UK Brethren remain subscribing members of the Civil Lines Conclave No. 482 in New Delhi, India.
The Consecration Ceremony was followed by a colourful Consecration Banquet complemented by dinner napkins and candles in the three colours of saffron, white and green representative of the National Flag of India.
The aim of the new Porthcawl-Delhi Conclave No. 528 is to form an indissoluable bond of friendship between Porthcawl and New Delhi and a number of Indian Brethren, including a Grand Lodge Officer, also attended the delightful consecration in Porthcawl, where they presented the new Conclave with a magnificent Ezel made of coromandel wood, a species of ebony native to Eastern India.
The new Porthcawl-Delhi Conclave No. 528 has its meetings on the 2nd Saturday in January, 3rd Saturday in June and 2nd Saturday in October (Installation) and all Brethren of this and other Provinces and Districts are very welcome to attend.
